Profile
Initially I trained as a mechanical engineer at Canterbury University with a Charles Upham Scholarship and later I completed a BCom in economics and industrial relations at Auckland University, I have had a wide range of life experiences including playing violin in the National Orchestra and a commercial pilots licence. Our family made the Donald woolpress and other farming equipment in Masterton and I have a lifelong interest in the farming sector. At home with my wife Amanda (a ceramist) and Frances (11) my interests include native birds, native plants and trees and building great soil. Oh, and catching sea-run trout is a passion yet to be realised!
