hi i'm craig
thanks for checking me out.
i've been a financial adviser for about 20 years, i spent about 12 years at a bank, most of the time providing investment advice.
key learning periods for me during that time was helping customers who had investment portfolios managed by the bank, during 2005-2012
this was leading up to, during and post global financial crisis
i saw first hand, how various types of investments were performing, including the crazy volatility and downward spiral of sharemarkets from oct 2007-march 2009, then the crazy recovery from 2009 onwards
i was advising clients who would come to me with a newspaper advert about finance companies paying rates way over bank term deposit rates, and answering questions like how come the bank won't pay this....... then saw the majority of those finance companies collapse.
the finance company collapse wiped out over a billion dollars of money for investors.

since leaving the bank in 2014, i set up an independent financial advice business called wealthhealth, based in tauranga. i set this up as a mortgage broking service in tauranga initially. i currently provide advice on mortgages, personal life insurances, health insurance, kiwisaver as well as a financial planning service
the latter is where i meet with people, usually leading up to or during retirement age, and help work out some specific things with them, that their investments will need to do.
we look at how inflation impacts things, calculate how much income is required from the portfolio, and look at how long the money can last given parameters around life expectancy, leaving the kids money if at all!
with this info we can suggest what type of investment would suit, how much risk to take on investments, how to minimize the risk. all that fun stuff.
i really believe in what i do, and i've gotten lots of feedback on how well i perform in my work. i've got lots of customers leaving reviews on google, with great testimonials.
often i come across people who think a certain way about money, thinking this or this won't be achievable. however after meeting with me, they leave with some new ideas and realizations that yes, this might be achievable for you!
