Profile
Sue works for you, her client(s), with the aim of finding competitive bank products to meet your financial needs. She takes into consideration your personal lifestyle and aspirations in addition to future events, which may impact you in the short to medium term; this allows her to arrange finance and a loan structure tailor-made to suit you.
Initial questions and concerns, how much can I borrow and what will it cost? Whilst important are by no means the only driving factors when choosing a home loan provider and product. Sue will guide you through the process, imparting her thought process and knowledge along the way, talking in plain language you can understand.
Her relationship with you does not stop on settlement day. Her commitment lasts for the life of the loan. Sue will regularly keep in touch for an optional annual review and on expiry of a fixed rate she will use her expertise and market knowledge to renew the loan structure and action the change with your lender. This ensures your finance keeps working at optimum performance for you.
Throughout the life of your loan and as your needs change, Sue can make your finance continue to work for you in many ways. Proof of this, are the many clients who return to Sue again and again as their lives progress, seeking her help to purchase their next home; enter the investment property market or top up their mortgage to finance home improvements or assist with large purchases.
Above all Sue is in the business of providing the finance solution that best fits her client(s) but, unlike the banks, she is also pro-active in showing them how to repay their mortgages faster, shaving years off the term of the loan and reducing the amount of interest payable. Sue believes this is the real key to wealth creation.
Sue has been a specialist mortgage adviser for the past 16 years, previously at David Tillman Mortgages for 10 years and the last 6 years with Lifetime Home Loans.
Before becoming a mortgage adviser, Sue enjoyed 26 years in the banking industry working for the former, National Bank of New Zealand. One of the many credentials she earned during this period was becoming the first female bank manager appointed by The National Bank.
This well of experience gained both within the banking industry and as an independent adviser has given Sue a unique perspective on lending in New Zealand and she brings a wealth of knowledge to the table when advising and informing clients.
Sues clients hail from all over New Zealand from the top of the North Island to the bottom of the South Island and everywhere in between and even beyond New Zealands shores. Their needs and aspirations are as diverse as the clients themselves.
Throughout her many years in the industry Sue has witnessed many changes and had to work with the ups and downs in both the finance and housing markets. Milestones such as rising house prices, the global credit crunch, historically high and low interest rates and the aftermath and effect of buying and selling property after the earthquakes in Canterbury. Her focus is always to deliver a solution for her client(s) no matter the market conditions at the time.
With regard to the lending market place, Sue has access to a wide range of New Zealand banks and finance providers with which she has built up enviable working relationships and rapport. She also keeps abreast of the latest products and lending policies of lenders. The combination of ongoing working relationships and product knowledge enables her to provide the best finance outcome for her client(s).
As part of her remit to her client(s), Sue works and liaises with the many professions involved in and around the purchase of property etc. These include solicitors, valuers, real estate agents and accountants and she is widely known and respected within this community. The efforts she employs behind the scenes on behalf of her client(s) ensures transactions are smooth and stress free.
Sue is married and together with her husband enjoys the opportunity to get away for long weekends when possible. When not away themselves, they frequently entertain family and friends from all over New Zealand, at their Christchurch home.
Sues spare time is spent in the garden, tending flower beds and a large and a very well stocked vegetable plot.
