John joined the financial services profession in 1990, as an Adviser and Regional Sales Manager for SAI Limited, followed by a stint as a manager at a private financial planning business. John joined Kiwi Wealth from Kiwibank, after seven years as an Investment and Insurance Adviser at AdviceFirst Limited.

John is a Certified Financial Planner CM and Chartered Life Underwriter. John completed a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies in 2008 at Massey University.

John served three terms as a director on the Institute of Financial Advisers Board and was actively involved on the Auckland Branch committee for seven years.

John is a founding member of Financial Advice New Zealand.
