Financial Advice New Zealand is announcing the launch of its 1-day workshops ‘Navigating Level 5’ - open exclusively for our Members from April 2019.

With the recent announcement of the draft code, it is now apparent that all advisers will have to demonstrate competence at least to the level of NZ Certificate in Financial Service level 5.

The Association wishes to provide accessible and attractive learning options for those seeking to attain their Level 5 qualification in Financial Services.

Experience advisers are often very familiar with the content of a qualification but are unfamiliar with navigating the process, online study and assessment required for a formal qualification.

The purpose of these 1-day workshops is to focus on the experienced mortgage adviser and to help them navigate the Level 5, and be ready to complete the assessments.

These 1-day workshops are face-to-face and have been designed to assist you, especially if you have not accessed formal learning recently.  The cost of the 1-day workshop includes assessment to attain the relevant strand.

1-Day Workshop Content - Residential Property Lending

Angi Mann (BA BBS Cert Adult Education), course tutor, has extensive experience in financial services and is a qualified NZQA assessor. This course will build your confidence in:

• How to analyse questions regarding residential lending and answer them succinctly, to demonstrate your knowledge relevant to the topic

• How to tap into your existing practical lending skills and knowledge to demonstrate your competence

• Understanding the ‘Residential Property Lending’ Strand content

• Understanding the online assessment processes of this Strand

• Your wider qualification requirements and options

On the one-day workshop we will show you how to enrol for the online assessment for the Residential Property Lending Strand. 
Professional IQ College allows three months to complete your four ‘unit standard’ assessments to attain the ‘Residential Property Lending’ component of the NZ Certificate in Financial Services Level 5.
